And he said to them, “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation. (Mark 16:15) ESV.

As God’s ambassadors, we have our orders to “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation” (Mark 16:15) tells us. We can do this because we are God’s ambassadors. However, we must be authentic representatives of God. We cannot say one thing and do another; our lives must speak for ourselves.

I recall one of my Professors in college quoting St. Augustine, a mighty man of God, once saying, ‘What I live by, I impart.” He also cited another great man of God, Francis of Assisi, who said, ‘Preach the Gospel at all times. When necessary, use words.” That said, we don’t have to keep telling people how to live, all we have to do is live life, and people will see that we are an authentic ambassador of Jesus Christ throughout our walk.

May I offer this example? If you are a farmer, your farmhands will know that you are a Christian by how you treat them. You will pay them a fair day’s wages for an honest day’s work. I am not suggesting you pay a person for being lazy. It doesn’t matter who the person is; they do not get paid if they do not work. However, if the person does the job, pay them.

Moreover, a good ambassador of Jesus Christ is honest and doesn’t steal the employer’s time; he would not use the phone, the company vehicles, or equipment for private use. Simply put, people will soon see who we are or aren’t by how we live.

Friends, do the people you work with know that you are a Christian? They should because of your lifestyle both at work and outside of work. Would you pray with me?

Dear Heavenly Father, You have saved me, brought me into Your Kingdom of Light, and called me an ambassador for You. Please help me to live a life of honesty and integrity. May my life be an authentic witness for You so that my walk and my talk line up. For it is in Your Precious Name, I ask. Amen.

Encouraging Words: Use our voices for kindness, our ears for compassion, our hands for charity, our minds for truth, and our hearts for love.

God Bless you, Friends, and have a Blessed Day <><
