Now Playing Counting My Blessing Seph Schleuter

February 28, 2023

Now you, brothers, like Isaac, are children of promise. (Galatians 4:28) ESV

As I close this months’ Devotional Thoughts on what it means to be an ambassador of the King, I hope that if you forget everything, do not forget HOPE is for the future, and FAITH is for now. Are we walking by faith or presumption, by faith or by sight?

Serving as a Youth Pastor, I spoke to countless youths suffering from depression, unaware of how to turn. I always reassured them that Christ has not changed. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). We need to believe this; if we do, everything else in our lives will change.

We all need to depend on God’s Word and what He says in His Word. “For truly, I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass from the Law until all is accomplished” (Matthew 5:18). The truth of the matter is this; if we want to finish the race, complete the journey, have the victory, be on top and not underneath, then we need to be a person of faith. There is no other way, and nothing is impossible with God.

Friends, God can accomplish the humanly impossible in all our lives. As we move into this new month, may we take our place as persons’ of promise? Our birthright as a child of God is to walk in victory no matter our circumstances. We are citizens of the Kingdom of God, and may we not sell that birthright. Now is the time for us to live by faith and in the fullness of all that Jesus Christ accomplished for you and me on Calvary. Would you Pray with me?

Dear Heavenly Father, I bow before You. I thank You for the incredible privilege of being Your child. I lift my hands and open my heart to You today. I ask that You fill me with Your Holy Spirit. Please give me the gift of faith so I can be known as a person of faith. Father, I love You. Amen.

Encouraging Words from Rick Warren: In God’s eyes, the greatest heroes of faith are not those who achieve prosperity, success, and power in this life, but those who treat life as a temporary assignment and serve faithfully, expecting their promised reward in eternity.

God Bless you, Friends, and have a Blessed Day <><
