Now Playing Fear Is A Liar Zach Williams

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God. For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. (2 Corinthians 5:20-21) ESV.

As I begin a new month of Devotional Thoughts, I will concentrate on what it means to be an ambassador of Jesus Christ this month. If ever there were a time the world needed to hear about eternal life, about Jesus Christ, about forgiveness of sins, about vision and purpose – it is now.

That said, how are people going to know Jesus if someone doesn’t share with them? It is the believer’s job; it is your job and my job. As Jesus instructed His Disciples, He also teaches us in (Matthew 28:18-20) ESV, “And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

God has called us; He has given us a job to do. We are called to reconcile others to God and God to man. We are ambassadors. It is an extraordinary thing to be an ambassador of Jesus Christ. An ambassador is a diplomat of the highest rank. Isn’t that a beautiful description of what we are meant to be? We should live in such a way that people we work with know that we are diplomats of the highest rank for Jesus Christ.

Friends, do your family, friends, and coworkers know that you are a Christian? There is no such thing as a secret agent for Christ. We cannot say, ‘My beliefs are private, and I live out my Christianity in my own way.’ No, this is not an option. God saved us so that we can be a blessing to others. He saved us to be an ambassador of the highest rank. Would you join me in Praying?

Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You with Praise and Thanksgiving. Thank You for my salvation; thank You that You have saved me to a blessing to others. Please, Father, help me to live as Your ambassador every day. It is in Your Precious Name, I ask. Amen.
