But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (2 Corinthians 12:9-10) ESV.

As we close out this month’s Devotional Thoughts, may I leave you with this: We all make mistakes. We have to stop crying over spilled milk. That means we must put our past behind us and press on. Paul encourages us to precisely do this in (Philippians 3:13-14) ESV, “Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”

If there was anyone who had to decide not to cry over spilled milk, it was Paul. The enemy would have loved Paul to be so filled with guilt over his persecution of the Christians that he was never of any use to God. This is why Paul said in (1 Corinthians 15:10) ESV, “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.” Paul’s commitment to Jesus, which could have been debilitating, was turned around to be a blessing and valuable to God. Paul learned to live in God’s Grace.

Don’t let God’s Grace towards us be in vain. As a result of everything we have read and learned from God through this month’s Devotional Thoughts, I pray that our faith has been strengthened. I pray that we have been built up in our sufferings through what God’s Word has spoken to us. May we not allow the past or present circumstances to hold us back.

Friends, whatever your challenges, disappointments, and sufferings may be today, Jesus says to you, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Would you join me in this prayer today?

Dear Heavenly Father, I am so grateful to You for Your faithfulness to me, Your child. Thank You that I can say, by the Grace of God, I am what I am, and Your Grace toward me was not in vain. Your Grace is everything to me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Encouraging Words: God gave us this life because He knew that we would be strong enough to live it through Him.

God Bless you, Friends, and have a Blessed Day <><
