Rebecca Jones Joins The Bridge

The Bridge is excited to announce the addition of Rebecca Jones as the newest member of its growing Community Engagement Team. Serving as Community Engagement Specialist for Delmarva, Rebecca brings passion, creativity, and a deep commitment to connecting with people in meaningful ways.

The Bridge, a Delmarva-based radio station serving Delaware, Maryland, the Eastern Shore of Virginia, and South Jersey, values community engagement and Rebecca Jones will strengthen those efforts as Community Engagement Specialist.

She joins the team that includes Ben Sorrells, Director of Community Engagement, Jen Macomber, Community Engagement Specialist for South Jersey, Jason Evans, Community Engagement Specialist for Delmarva, and of course, DJ, The Bridge’s beloved mascot. Together, this team represents over 75 years of combined ministry experience, uniting their diverse strengths and shared calling to serve.

The Community Engagement Team aligns with the heart of The Bridge’s mission—coordinating and leading efforts in concerts, conferences, community events, promotions, volunteer engagement, church relationships, and missions. Whether it’s taking the mascot to area nursing homes, organizing a church partnership, or simply offering a listening ear at a local event, the team serves as the face of The Bridge—an outreach arm fully committed to loving people well.

Their work is driven by The Bridge’s powerful “Why” statement: “To creatively love as many people as possible so that they are inspired to connect with Christ and others.”

Rebecca is thrilled to join a team that not only talks about love and connection but lives it out daily. The Bridge has a reputation for being present, for showing up with purpose, and for making space for everyone. I can’t wait to be a part of that.”

The team consistently looks for new and innovative ways to connect with listeners, believers, and pre-believers alike. From high-impact events to everyday conversations, they’re always trying to think outside the box—intentionally creating opportunities for people to feel seen, heard, and valued.

With Rebecca now on board, The Bridge's Community Engagement Team is ready, and poised for even greater impact throughout Delaware, Eastern Shore Maryland, Eastern Shore Virginia, and South Jersey.
