Rebecca Jones, Community Engagement Specialist

Rebecca was born and raised in a little borough called “Jersey Shore.” No, not that Jersey Shore – the borough in which she was born and raised is nestled in the Susquehanna Valley region of Pennsylvania. While attending college, she began working in the world of radio as an announcer and copywriter. 

Following her marriage to Tim, they first moved to New York, before moving to Seaford over 20 years ago, where they raised their now-adult children. Since the inception of The Bridge, Rebecca has happily volunteered at her favorite radio station. 

As a child, Rebecca dreamed of being a singer, writer, teacher, and a cartoon voice. She has fulfilled all of those goals in one way or another, with God’s help – except for the cartoon voice dream. Even though she is a freelance writer and a voice-over artist, she has yet to be tapped as a voice for a cartoon. God isn’t through with her, yet. 

One thing she loves to do is bake; Rebecca actually won first prize for cake decorating at the Delaware State Fair a few years ago.
