Stars on the Shore Singing Contest Rules

STARS ON THE SHORE, CHRISTIAN MUSIC SHOWCASE CONTEST RULES & PRIZE INFORMATION

Contest Name: STARS ON THE SHORE, CHRISTIAN MUSIC SHOWCASE CONTEST (herein defined as the “Contest”)

Station:  The Bridge (WKNZ/WNKZ/WNJH/WNJB/W235DD) (herein defined as the “station”)

Station Address:  PO Box 680, Milford, DE 19963

These are the contest rules in their entirety. No other rules apply, whether implied or expressed.

Description of Contest:

    The contest occurs on The Bridge from Tuesday, July 22, 2025, and will end on Saturday, September 27, 2025. Station reserves the right to extend or shorten the contest period at its discretion.

    Stars On The Shore Finals will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at Denton Camp in Denton, MD, at the main stage of the “Bridge Family Reunion” event.

    The event starts at 3 PM EST. The final contestants will receive complimentary tickets to the event and feedback from industry professionals. The winning performance ("solo" or "duo") will receive $500.

    Important Note: By entering the Contest, the Entrant agrees that any entry submitted to the Station is the sole property of The Bridge, and may be aired in whole or in part by the Station. Entries submitted to the station will not be returned.

    All prize winners must accept the Official Contest Rules and meet the contest eligibility requirements set forth herein.

CONTEST SPONSOR:
This Contest is sponsored by The Bridge, PO Box 680, Milford, DE 19963 (the “Sponsor”), stations of The Bridge of Hope, which is responsible for the conduct of this Contest. By participating in this Contest, all participants (including the prize winner) agree that Sponsor, its prize providers, subsidiaries and affiliates, and each of such entities’ respective officers, directors, agents and employees are not responsible or liable for any injury, loss, illness, litigation or damage that may occur from participation in the Contest or acceptance, possession, use or misuse of prizes. In the event that any dispute arises in connection with the conduct of this Contest, participants agree that the dispute shall be resolved by binding arbitration.

CONTEST ENTRY:
A purchase is not required to enter or win the grand prize. Entries must be submitted between July 22, 2025 at 12:00 AM EDT and August 17, 2025 at 11:59 PM.EDT (the “Entry Period”) unless extended by Sponsor in Sponsor’s sole discretion. To enter the Contest, entrants must log on to www.wearethebridge.org, complete an online registration form, and upload a video or audio file that features the entrant singing without accompaniment a song of the Christian genre. The contest submission video/audio shall be no longer than twenty seconds (0:20 seconds). The live performance audition shall be no longer than four minutes. All videos/audio files must comply with the guidelines set forth by the Sponsor to be eligible. If the contestant is a minor, a parent or legal guardian must complete the contestant registration form and include his/her name, mailing address, contact phone number, date of birth, and online signature for the minor submission to be eligible for consideration. Each entry will be deemed to have been submitted by the single individual ”solo” or two individuals “duo” who completes the registration form, and only that individual(s) (or, with respect to minors, the individual(s) on whose behalf the registration form was submitted) will be eligible to win any prize for such entry. Only one (1) entry per person will be accepted, whether submitted as a “solo” or “duo” entry. To clarify, no more than two singers per entry. 

By entering, entrant hereby grants Sponsor, along with its affiliates, successors, and assigns, a perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, unrestricted right and license, with the right to sublicense through multiple tiers, to use entrant’s submission (including any portion(s) thereof) in any medium, including without limitation on any and all Sponsor broadcast and/or digital platforms, without any obligation of payment, acknowledgement or other consideration of any kind, and without the need to obtain permission from or provide notification to the entrant or any third party. Sponsor will have no obligation to republish or use any submission, and any submission republished or posted may be removed by Sponsor at any time, for any reason.

Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, misdirected, or mutilated entries, due to technical/network failures, human error, or any other error or malfunction. Entry materials that have been tampered with or altered are void.

Entrants agree not to upload, post, or transmit any materials that contain any computer viruses, easter eggs, worms, Trojan horses, or other harmful components or programming routines that are intended to damage, detrimentally interfere with, surreptitiously intercept, or expropriate any system, data, or personal information. Any attempt to deliberately damage any website or undermine the operation of the Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws, and the Sponsor reserves the rights to seek damages from any person(s) who makes such attempt(s).

Any questions regarding the number of entries submitted by an individual or authorized account holder of an e-mail address shall be determined by The Bridge in its sole discretion, and The Bridge reserves the right to disqualify any entries by persons determined to be tampering with or abusing any aspect of the Contest.

ELIGIBILITY AND ODDS OF WINNING:
Void where prohibited. By entering, each entrant accepts and agrees to be bound by these Official Rules. Failure to comply with these rules may result in disqualification.

The Contest is open to all legal residents of Delaware, Maryland, the Eastern Shore of Virginia, and South New Jersey within the radio broadcast area of the Station. No purchase necessary to enter. Purchase will not improve chances of winning. All participants must be at least 12 years of age, with a parent’s permission to participate.

Employees of Bridge of Hope Inc., and/or the Station, its affiliates, subsidiaries, and successor companies, contest sponsors, advertising and promotion agencies, employees or representatives of other radio stations, contest prize suppliers, participating advertisers and immediate family members of anyone so situated are not eligible. “Immediate family members” shall include spouses, siblings, parents, children, grandparents, and grandchildren, whether as “in-laws”, or by current or past marriage, remarriage, adoption, co-habitation or other familial extension, and any other persons residing at the same household location, whether or not related.

CONTEST PRIZES:
The Grand Prize consists of $500.

Online entries and live auditions may be showcased on-air on the Station, and/or on the Station website at the Sponsor's sole discretion.

Prizes are specified within the individual contest text. Prizes are limited to Prize Sheets only and may not be exchanged or substituted at any time. Prizes are non-transferable and non-exchangeable. No substitution or cash equivalent will be made. The Station reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the awarded prize in unavailable for any reason. If tickets to a performance are awarded as a prize, the Station is not responsible for any cancellation or rescheduling of the performance for any reason and has no obligation to reimburse, refund or otherwise substitute the tickets for another prize should the performance not be rescheduled or vouchers not issued. Furthermore, the Station is not responsible for cancellations or delays in travel accommodations. It has no obligation to reimburse, refund, or otherwise substitute any tickets awarded as a part of a travel prize due to such cancellations or delays.

CONTEST JUDGING CRITERIA:
Once the online entry period has been closed, a panel made up of 10 judges (the “Selection Panel”) will select up to twelve (12) Semi-Finalists to move on to the next round of judging. During the semi-final round of voting, the public may vote by visiting The Bridge website (www.wearethebridge.org). This round will determine six (6) Finalists with the most votes who will advance to the final round. The Final Round is a live audition to take place at “The Bridge Family Reunion” Event in Denton, MD on September 27, 2025. All judgments by Sponsor are final.

Six (6) Finalists must perform with either a digital accompaniment track, or a live guitar, or a keyboard for the in-person auditions. No artificial intelligence (AI) generated music or lyrics will be permitted. Out of the Six (6) Finalist performances, the finalist with the most votes from the total votes cast by event attendees at “The Bridge Family Reunion” on September 27, 2025 will win the Grand Prize consisting of $500. In the event of a tie, three (3) Judges on-site at the event will break the tie to award the Grand Prize consisting of $500.

Online entries and live auditions will be judged based on the following criteria: quality of vocal performance, as well as overall style and presentation.

All online entries and live auditions must conform to these Official Rules (including, without limitation, the four-minute time limit and the eligibility requirements) and the submission’s suitability for broadcast.

A selected finalist contestant who is a minor attending the Stars On The Shore final audition performance must have a parent or legal guardian present with them throughout the audition process on September 27, 2025. The parent or guardian accompanying the minor must be listed as such on the original online entry form.

Without limiting the foregoing, submissions may not contain any material that is obscene, indecent, profane, defamatory, or that infringes any party’s privacy, intellectual property, or other rights. Final approval of the performer's song selection at the live audition event will be at the discretion of The Bridge of Hope Inc.

Six (6) Finalists will be notified on or around September 7, 2025 and will be first notified via the email address on their entry, followed up by a phone call to the phone number listed on their entry. The Six (6) Finalists will be scheduled to sing in front of a panel of Judges and live audience on Saturday, September 27th at 3:00 PM EDT. If the Finalist is unable to attend on Saturday, September 27th or does not arrive at assigned time, the Finalist will forego their eligibility.

PRIZE RESTRICTIONS & CONDITIONS:
Prize winner must abide by the terms and conditions of the Prize providers and Contest Parties. No prize transfer, assignment, or substitution by the Prize winner is permitted. All income and other taxes are the responsibility of the winner. By entering, the entrants, finalists and winner are consenting to the use of their video submission, name, likeness, and/or biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes without additional consideration, including any in studio appearances or on the air of any other television stations or on any Sponsor-owned or Sponsor-affiliated website.

Stars on The Shore contest registrations, audition upload, and contest participation is for the Station, The Bridge of Hope, Inc (and its partners) and is not an audition for any national singing contest.

RESTRICTIONS AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY:
Winner is responsible for income and other taxes on any Prize. Winner will be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, Release of Liability, Publicity Release and Letter of Indemnification within seven (7) business days of notification of being a winner. Failure to comply with the rules and conditions of the Contest may result in a forfeiture of the prize.

Limit of ONE (1) ENTRY per individual may be submitted. Only valid submissions will be counted as valid contest entries. One winner only will be announced. Void where prohibited by law. Listeners may only win or qualify to win once every thirty (30) days. The Station reserves the right to extend the thirty (30) day rule to the length of any specific contest. The Station reserves the right to cancel, terminate or modify the contest if it is not capable of completion as planned for any reason, including, but not limited to, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention or technical failures of any kind. The decision of the Station is final. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. The Station, their subsidiaries and affiliates, their officers, directors, agents, insurers, and employees, and their advertising and promotional agencies and sponsors assume no responsibility or liability whatsoever for damages, loss or injury resulting from participating in any contest or acceptance or use of any prize. In consideration of participation in a contest, and for other good and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, the Entrant, on Entrant’s behalf, and on behalf of Entrant’s heirs, successors or assigns, administrators and personal representatives, does hereby COVENANT NOT TO SUE, FULLY RELEASE AND FOREVER DISCHARGE (i) Independent Stations, (ii) The Station, and each of their respective direct and indirect subsidiaries, affiliates, partners and related entities, (iii) each of their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, insurers, attorneys, and representatives, and (iv) each predecessor, successor, and assign thereof, from and against any and all actions, charges, claims, losses, costs, damages, expenses (including attorneys’ fees and expenses) and liabilities of any kind or character, whether known or unknown, in connection with, arising out of or in any way related to Entrant’s participation in any contest.

a. Telephone Entries. If a contest accepts telephone entries, the Station and sponsors are not responsible for the inability of caller to complete the call during the call-in portion of the contest whether due to telephone equipment malfunctions; disconnections; busy lines; faulty, mistranscribed, misdirected, or misdialed telephone communications; or other circumstances. Only calls to the designated telephone number will be eligible to win.

b. Fax and Mail Entries. If a contest accepts fax or mail entries (postal or electronic), the Station and its sponsors are not responsible for the late, misdirected, lost, misplaced, illegible, mutilated or postage-due entries for any reason, including electronic or computer malfunctions that may affect the delivery or content of the entry, nor are they liable for any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer or hardware related to or resulting from participating in or downloading any information necessary to participate in the contest.

c. Web Site Entries. In the event a contest accepts website entries, participants must accurately complete all required fields or entry will be deemed invalid. The Station and its sponsors shall have no liability for any malfunction of the Internet, the Station websites or any other computer-related processor system. The Station is not responsible for any prize offered or any aspect of any contest appearing on an advertiser’s web banner or hyperlink located on the Station websites.

HOW TO CLAIM PRIZE:
Winners will be selected as described in the specific rules of each contest. Winners agree to appear at the Station to claim the prize, unless alternate arrangements are acceptable to the the Station promotions department. The Station address is PO Box 680, Milford, DE, 19963, and prizes may only be claimed between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. EST Monday – Friday. In the event that a prize is mailed to the winner, pursuant to winner’s prior written consent, winner assumes the risk of the prize’s safe arrival. Winners must provide proof of age, photo identification and a valid taxpayer identification number or social security number before any prize will be awarded. The only accepted types of photo identification are government issued photo identifications, including a valid driver’s license or United States passport. The Station reserves the right to deny awarding the prize if the winner fails to provide satisfactory identification, as determined in the Station sole discretion. In addition, winners agree to execute an affidavit of eligibility, indemnification and release of liability before any prize is awarded. If the prize is travel tickets, travel partners, if any, must meet age eligibility requirements and must also execute an affidavit of eligibility, indemnification and release of liability prior to awarding the prize. Failure to execute any of these documents or comply with any of the terms will result in forfeiture of the prize. Winners have thirty (30) days from the date their name is first announced on the air, or by other disclosed mode of public dissemination, to claim and pick up their prize. Failure to claim and pick up prize within this time for any reason will result in forfeiture of the prizes. The Station reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to award unclaimed prizes to alternate contestants or not to award the unclaimed prizes. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. All federal, state and local taxes (including any sales taxes) are the sole responsibility of the winner. Prior to the delivery of any prize, the Station reserves the right to collect from the winner any taxes it deems appropriate. Any person winning over $600 in prizes during any one year period could receive an IRS form 1099 at the end of the calendar year, and a copy of such form will be filed with the IRS. Any additional costs relating to the prizes, and incurred as a result of accepting the prizes, is the sole responsibility of the winner.

DISQUALIFICATION AND PENALTIES:
All participants agree to be bound by these rules. The Station, in its sole discretion, further reserves the right to disqualify any person for (i) violating any of these rules, (ii) tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Station websites, (iii) gaining an unfair advantage in participating in the contest, (iv) obtaining winner status using fraudulent means, or (v) engaging in otherwise unsportsmanlike, disruptive, annoying, harassing, or threatening behavior. Furthermore, any resale or auction or attempt to resell or auction of the Station complimentary prizes, if any, will result in disqualification for all future Station contests. ANY ATTEMPT BY A CONTESTANT OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY CIRCUMVENT, DISRUPT OR DAMAGE ORDINARY AND NORMAL OPERATION OF THIS CONTEST, TELEPHONE SYSTEMS OR WEBSITE, OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE STATION RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PARTICIPANT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

SPONSOR’S RESERVATION OF RIGHTS:
These Official Rules are subject to modification by Sponsor. In the event of a dispute, all decisions made by Sponsor are final and binding. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any person who tampers with or abuses the entry process, or who otherwise acts in violation of these Official Rules. Sponsor further reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, or modify this Contest if, for any reason, the Contest is not capable of completion as planned, including due to force majeure or non-authorized human intervention that compromises or affects the administration, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Contest.

PRIVACY POLICY/DISCLOSURES OF INFORMATION:
Sponsor may collect and use personal information that entrants provide to enter the Contest to actually conduct the Contest and contact the potential finalists and winner. Personal information includes any information that can be tracked back to a specific individual, including name, postal address, and telephone number. As noted above, Sponsor (including any successors or assigns) may use all entrants’ video submissions, names, likenesses, and/or biographical information for advertising and promotional purposes without additional consideration. Otherwise, no personal information that Sponsor collects in connection with the administration of the Contest will be sold or given to anyone who may contact entrants for any purpose not related to the Contest.

PUBLICITY RELEASE:
Unless prohibited by law, participation constitutes permission for the Station and contest sponsors, without any further obligation to the contest participant, to use the participant’s name, voice, biographical data, and likeness for promotional purposes.

ADDITIONAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
The Contest is void where prohibited, penalized, or otherwise restricted by law. A copy of these Official Rules is available at the Station office, or by writing to The Bridge, PO Box 680, Milford, DE 19963. Viewers can also find the Official Rules at wearethebridge.org. If you wish to receive the name(s) of Contest Prize Winner(s), you must send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to The Bridge, Stars On The Shore Contest Winner, PO Box 680, Milford, DE 19963. The Station must receive any request for the Winner’s name no later than October 31, 2025.

These rules apply to all the Station-sponsored contests unless modified or superceded by rules written for a specific contest, or if inapplicable for such a promotion or contest. In the event any specific contest rule conflicts with any of the general rules provided above, the specific contest rules prevail. The Station reserves the right in its sole discretion to supplement or make changes to the rules of any contest at any time without notice. The Station reserves the right in its sole discretion to interpret the rules of any contest, and such interpretation shall be binding upon all participants the Station shall not be responsible for any administrative errors involved in the execution of any contest. Copies of the Official Rules for any contest may also be attained by sending a self-addressed stamped envelope with the identity of the contest inquiry to The Bridge, PO Box 680, Milford, DE, 19963.
