Now Playing Scars In Heaven Casting Crowns

For the love of Christ controls us, because we have concluded this: that one has died for all, therefore all have died; and he died for all, that those who live might no longer live for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised. (2 Corinthians 5:14-15) ESV.

People will not know about Jesus Christ if we do not tell them. We are all diplomats of the highest rank who have been tasked with a special mission. That said, we must step up and accept God’s mission. We might be thinking to ourselves; I am not an evangelist; I don’t have that gift. Evangelism is put: One hungry beggar shows another hungry beggar where to find food.

I love to read the stories of great men and women of God who have walked before us. I never tire of sharing their stories because there is so much to glean from their walks of faith with God. These men and women knew hardship; many knew great sorrow; they sacrificed much for the privilege of being ambassadors of Jesus Christ. Above all, they knew great victory and joy as they faithfully fulfilled the purpose God had called them. As a result of their faithfulness, we look at their lives and can be encouraged in our walk with the Lord.

During a youth retreat (YEC) several years back with my youth, I recall one speaker talking about a great evangelist named Gypsy Smith. Gypsy Smith was a true ambassador of the Lord. One day a part-time preacher who was burnt out asked Gypsy Smith what he should do. Keep telling them what Jesus means to you was Smith’s advice. This is what being an ambassador means – to be a representative of Jesus Christ.

Friends, an ambassador sent overseas to represent a country, tell people about all the good things found in their country. Likewise, as ambassadors of Christ, we must tell people about Jesus Christ and what He means to us. Remember, as Christians, we are all ambassadors of the highest rank, and we are all on a special mission; that mission is to tell people about our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. Would you join me in prayer?

Dear Heavenly Father, I worship You as the God of the universe. I am awed that You have called me to represent You in this world. I commit my life anew to You – use me, I pray. Please help me to be a witness to everyone that I meet today and every day. For it is in Your Precious Name, I ask. Amen.

Encouraging Words from Mother Teresa: Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier.

God Bless you, Friends, and have a Blessed Day <><
