And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)

How can we accurately portray our God in Heaven while we remain on earth?

When Jesus walked on this earth, He was the perfect representation of His Heavenly Father’s Kingdom. He came to earth to reveal God to man. Jesus gathered twelve disciples around Him. He walked with them; He lived with them, and He taught them the principles of God’s Kingdom. Then He commissioned them in (vs. 19-20) to “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

That said, this does not mean we lecture people on how to be Christians. It means that we show them by example. We teach them by the way we live our lives. We have to back up our words with actions. Don’t get me wrong, the talk is an integral part of the process, but without the walk, it is of no lasting value. Too many people have been turned off Christianity by the bad witness of a so-called ambassador of Christ. We have a big responsibility resting on our shoulders to walk our talk!

Friends, a good ambassador doesn’t quickly get angry; when he does, he is quick to ask for forgiveness. He is somebody who goes the extra mile and who gives his coat to someone in need. Jesus says we must bless those who have nothing and be what He wants us to be. We are to follow His example and be an example of Him to others. Would you pray with me?

Dear Heavenly Father, I bow before Your Throne. I acknowledge You as my Lord and Master. You have commissioned me to go into the world and walk my talk. Father, help me to live today in a way that will bring only glory and honor to Your Name. For it is in Your Precious Name, I ask. Amen.

Encouraging Words from C.S. Lewis: When we lose one blessing, another is often most unexpectedly given in its place.

God Bless you, Friends, and have a Blessed Day <><
