Summer Camp in the Dominican Republic!
Hey The Bridge Family!
We can't believe that it's already time to be talking about Summer Camp again! Summer is here! This is our seventh year of Bible Camps. It seems like just yesterday we were packed like sardines into a tiny room with 300 kids trying to teach them about Jesus. This year, our seventh year, the theme is Campamento De Verano Transformacion, which means "transformation."
Why is the theme transformation? Young children are always learning and growing, each and every day. They are transforming in one way or another. Transformation does not stop, it continues working daily. Our hopes and prayers are that through this Bible camp theme, the children in the Dominican will learn how to let the Lord transform their lives. That they will learn what it means to be a new creation in Christ Jesus.
The missionaries and student leaders are currently preparing their hearts and minds to teach these young kids in the villages. They will be teaching the kids what transformation in Christ is by sharing Bible verses, singing songs, listening to testimonies of how someone was transformed, and doing fun games and activities!
At the end of Summer Bible Camps, the children will be able to answer questions like:
- What is true transformation?
- How can we be transformed?
- Who produces transformation?
- What is the purpose of transformation?
Would you be praying with us as the time draws nearer to summer camp starting? Pray that the kids that attend Bible school will come in with willing and open hearts. That each and every child will leave camp knowing who Jesus is and how He transforms us daily. And that these children will grow up to become leaders for the future generation, leading them in the way of the Lord.
This transformation that we are instilling in the hearts of these kids would not be possible without you and your help.
