On Tuesday, September 27, at 5:30pm, Chef Charles Oppman will return to the Greenwood Library for a cooking demonstration of foods of the American South. This includes Lowcountry cuisines - Charleston and Savannah with a vibrant African influence - plus Deep South - a melange of Gulf Coast cuisines. As usual, recipes will be provided for the delicious dishes that Chef Charles demonstrates; there will also be a tasting and door prize. The program is free and open to all. This program is designed to teach patrons valuable cooking skills in a fun and upbeat environment while covering topics such as nutrition, food prep, kitchen safety, cultural foods, and budgeting.
