So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord, for we walk by faith, not by sight. Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord. So whether we are at home or away, we make it our aim to please him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive what is due for what he has done in the body, whether good or evil. (2 Corinthians 5:6-10) ESV

Faith is not hearing music from Heaven or seeing flashes of lightning, nor is it hearing bells ringing. Faith is being able to say, “Lord, I love You, and I will go for it. I am going to keep going no matter how tough it gets. No matter how rough the road gets. I will walk through the desert. No matter how hard things become, I believe in You and what You have in store for me.”

There will come a day when we (God’s children) will walk straight out of the desert and into a land of milk and honey, just as the Israelites did. We need to walk the talk now, though. This is why (James 2:20) NKJV says, “But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?”

Faith is not a feeling; it is a fact. Unfortunately, many destructive (False) doctrines are taught in some churches today. Some teach that our problems will be solved if we come to Jesus. Nowhere in the Bible will we find a Scripture that says this. What it does say is that we must come to Jesus unconditionally, and He will walk tirelessly with us. Isaiah 40:28-31 (ESV) promises us, “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” It is a tragedy that so many people become disillusioned because of bad teaching. Jesus doesn’t promise us a bed of roses, but He does promise us, “Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you” (Hebrews 13:5) ESV.

Friends, too many people try to bargain with God by saying, ‘Lord if You give me… I will follow You.’ There can be no conditions. The moment we introduce the little word “if” into a covenant, it is no longer a covenant. When we commit to Jesus, it is all or nothing. If we find ourselves in a place where we are bargaining with God, then we need to come before Him and repent. The only choice is to walk by faith. Would you pray with me?

Dear Heavenly Father, I love You and will go for it. I will keep going no matter how tough the road gets. I will walk through the desert. No matter how hard things become, I believe in You and what You have in store for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Encouraging Words from Billy Graham: The greatest legacy one can pass on to one’s children and grandchildren is not money or other material things accumulated in one’s life but rather a legacy of character and faith.

God Bless you and have a Blessed Day, Friends <><
