What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31) ESV
I am speaking for myself in saying, ‘It is difficult at times not to get discouraged.’ As I read (Romans 8:31) this morning I was reminded of a saint from old named John Wesley, it was said that he had indentations on the wooden floorboards of his room where he knelt at night to pray. He used to wail and cry out to God daily when he was discouraged and for lost souls. Is it any wonder that revival occurred through people like Wesley? Saint’s from old did not grow weary. Their passion never wavered.
The church today has lacked passion and perseverance, but thank God that this may be changing! Passion and perseverance I believe are being born again. This passion and perseverance will become more and more evident as more people take up their positions as ambassadors of Jesus Christ, and stand for what is right! The righteous will become more righteous, and the filthy more filthy. This is what the Bible tells us and we need to understand it. The battle lines are drawn and we as God’s Children need to choose on whose side we stand.
Romans 8:37 tells us, “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.” Being more than a conqueror means that the battle has been fought; that we can do things that we never dreamt of doing. How? Through the power of our Lord Jesus Christ. That is what God wants to do for us.
Friends, it is not the time for us to grow weary. As ambassadors of Jesus Christ, we have everything we need to fight the battle. This year, may we be known as a people who are true ambassadors of Jesus Christ. May we be a people characterized by our passion and perseverance. Would you Pray with me?
Dear Heavenly Father, I want to ask You to please forgive me for being so dry. Forgive me that there is so little passion evident in my life. Forgive me that I am so easily discouraged. Give me perseverance, I pray. Lord, fill me with passion for You, Your Word, and Your work. Thank You. Lord, that I am more than a conqueror through Christ Who strengthens me. Give me the grace, Lord, to run the race with passion and perseverance. For it is in Your Precious Name I pray. Amen

God Bless and have a Blessed Day, Friends <><
