Now Playing All My Hope Crowder (Feat. Tauren Wells)

January 5, 2023

For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.” Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for “The righteous shall live by faith.” But the law is not of faith, rather “The one who does them shall live by them.” (Galatians 3:10-12) ESV.

This morning’s Scripture tells us that if we want to follow the Law (Mosaic Law – all 613 in total), we must ensure we fulfill and keep every single aspect of them. Look them up for yourself; these Laws are called “The Mitzvot (Commandments) Judaism 101.”

This is not possible, and it is why the Word of God tells us in (Galatians 3:1) that we are under a curse, “For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.” The Law is there to lead us to Christ to make us aware of our need for Him. Under the Law, there is only condemnation, failure, and disappointment. Why do we spend so much time moving back to it? This is why Paul admonished the Galatians in (Galatians 5:1) telling them, “For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.”

Our enemy (Satan) likes nothing better than to keep us under bondage. He knows that there is no power there. If we are going to live out our purpose, if we are to live as children of the Promise, it can only be done under the New Covenant (Grace). We can only fulfill our potential if we walk by faith. Abraham learned that lesson when he collaborated with Sarah to try and make their own plan to fulfill God’s promise to them – which ended in dismal failure.

Friends, our plans take many different shapes and forms. For each of us, something different will tempt us to make our own plans instead of trusting in God’s plans and timing. I know that by now, most of us can quote (Hebrews 11:1, 6), “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” May we begin today and join together in this Prayer today?

Dear Heavenly Father, You are the Mighty God, and I am Your child. Father, forgive me for not trusting in You to fulfill Your Word to me. I am sorry that I stumbled between the Old and the New Covenant. Father, I don’t want to live a life that is cursed. I desire to have a blessed life if it is Your Will. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Encouraging Words from (Jeremiah 31:31-34) ESV: “Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the LORD. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”

God Bless you, Friends, and have a Blessed Day <><
