Now Playing Come What May We Are Messengers

January 13, 2023

For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith. (1 John 5:4) ESV.

I cannot know the kind of year everyone has had; I certainly Pray that our daily times together in God’s Word have helped build you up and strengthen you. I am aware that life can press in on us at times. When these times come, because they will, it is essential (and my hope) that your reaction and response is to run to God and not away from Him.

Jesus has gained victory over any and every situation that we could experience. This morning’s Scripture says, “For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world.” If you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you have everything you need to live as an overcomer if you are a child of God.

There is another step to implementing our victory in Jesus Christ, and our Scripture this morning tells us, “And this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith.” What is it that helps us to appropriate our victory? It is our faith; it is by faith that we walk in victory. By faith, we can implement the full extent of our salvation and what Jesus did for us on Calvary. So if you are experiencing difficulties and failures in your lives right now; may I encourage you to remember, as a child of God; that we will know tribulation and suffering; however, even while we are suffering, we are not defeated.

Friends, no matter how difficult the circumstances are in our lives, we can still live in victory. We make big mistakes when we think our victory in Jesus means a life without challenges; we will have them. Our purpose is to live in victory regardless of our circumstances to the Glory of God. Would you join me in praying?

Dear Heavenly Father, I thank You for the victory that Jesus gained for me on Calvary. Please help me to walk in that victory no matter what is happening in my life. I am so grateful that I am not at the mercy of what is happening in and around my life. My faith is in You, Lord, and You are my victory. For it is in Your Precious Name, I pray, Amen.

## Encouraging Words: If we focus on the giants in our lives, we will stumble. If we focus on God, those giants will tumble.

“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33) ESV.

God Bless you, Friends, and have a Blessed Day <><
