And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19) ESV.

Caleb and Joshua were not concerned about the giants in the land of Canaan (The Promised Land), unlike the other scouts who were petrified of them. Those scouts clean forgot about all the miracles God had performed for the children of Israel during the forty years since they left Egypt.

God parted the Red Sea so they could walk across it on dry ground. God caused water to flow out of a rock, so they had drinking water. He sent Manna from Heaven to feed them; provided shade by day and light by night. The People of Israel experienced all of those miracles, yet when they faced the giants of Canaan, they allowed fear to take hold of them. Their faith in God deserted them.

Hebrews 11:6 (ESV) says, “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” God puts a high premium on faith. Every miracle in the Bible God performed happened because someone had faith. It is safe to say God does not operate outside of faith.

My Friends Caleb and Joshua had a spirit of faith. If we are going through difficulties, how are we handling them? We need to trust God to give us victory in His way and in His time. It might be one step at a time; then, one day, He reaches down, bringing His salvation into our situation. Or it could be like Paul’s thorn in the flesh; God might never lift the suffering we are enduring until we go home to Heaven. Whatever the case, we must trust that He knows what is best for us. Proverbs 3:5-6 (ESV) tells us to “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Whatever happens, we need to trust Him when He says, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9) ESV. Would you join me in this prayer today?

Dear Heavenly Father, I realize that You do nothing outside of faith. I think of all the mighty men and women through the ages – they overcame because of faith. Today, I commit myself once again to You and Your ways. I trust You, my God, to supply all my needs according to Your riches in Jesus. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Encouraging Words: The Will of God will never take us to where the Grace of God will not protect us.

God Bless you, Friends, and have a Blessed Day <><
