And Elisha said to her, “What shall I do for you? Tell me; what have you in the house?” And she said, “Your servant has nothing in the house except a jar of oil.” (2 Kings 4:2) ESV.

People know that there is a God,  and I believe in these last days, according to my Bible, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit will be greater than in the former days. So let’s be ready to be used by God.

If we expect nothing, we will receive nothing. So I want to encourage you to start calling upon the Lord. The Lord has often used me to Pray for people that are in troubled situations. God used Elisha to bring water into the valley of Edom. I didn’t even have to rain for God to provide water in this situation.

In today’s Scripture, God provides for the widow. Elisha says to her, “What shall I do for you?” Then he asks her, “What do you have in the house?” She answers him, “Your servant has nothing in the house except a jar of oil.” Over the past few days of Devotional Thoughts, we have been talking about asking God for what we need. God is asking us today, “What shall I do for you?” We might feel that we have nothing to offer God. This is not true. God will use whatever we have to do His Work. It is not about what you have or don’t have. The truth is God has everything. We only need to be the vessel through which He works.

Friends, the widow had only one jar of oil left. She believed and acted upon Elisha’s command to “Go, borrow vessels from everywhere, from all your neighbors – empty vessels; do not gather just a few” (v. 3) tells us. As long as there was capacity, the oil came. It only stopped when the widow said, “There is not another vessel.” So the oil ceased (v. 6). As long as we have the capacity, God will use us. There are no limits to God. Would you pray with me?

Dear Heavenly Father, I come before You, thankful that You are a God Who knows no limits. I realize that the boundaries are with me. Please increase my Faith; I Pray. I want to be used by You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

God Bless you, and may your day be Blessed, Friends <><
