Rachel Dukes Joins The Bridge Team

The Bridge, a network of Christian-formatted radio stations serving Delaware, Maryland, South Jersey, and the Eastern Shore of Virginia, is thrilled to announce the addition of Rachel Dukes, a dynamic and passionate individual, as our new Community Engagement Specialist. Her role is crucial in fostering connections and building relationships within our community.

Born and raised in Lancaster County, PA, Rachel has lived in Delaware for fifteen years. Her focus has always been on missions and community. In 2019, she served the community at Chick-fil-A Seaford, where many people recognized and valued her presence. In her position, Rachel planned events that sparked a passion for loving the people around her in every capacity. The restaurant was a large part of her heart for five years.

As The Bridge's newly appointed Community Engagement Specialist, Rachel Dukes is poised to make a significant impact. Her role perfectly combines her passion for serving people and her unwavering desire to introduce them to Jesus. This position allows her to expand her capabilities and provides her a platform to reach a much wider community with the good news of Jesus. Her enthusiasm is strong as she looks forward to this new chapter in her career.

In her role as Community Engagement Specialist, Dukes partners with Ben Sorrells, the Director of Community Engagement, to develop and deepen The Bridge’s commitment to regional non-profit organizations, churches, and individual listeners. In addition to broadcasts and podcasts, The Bridge also serves Delmarva, South Jersey, and beyond with various projects. Most recently, the station's listeners helped provide clean water and meals to over 1,300 children in Uganda, Zambia, and Malawi. The Bridge has also adopted a village in the Dominican Republic known as La Union Abajo and regularly provides funding to help residents, including building a bakery and sewing center to provide skills and income to young women.

Locally, The Bridge coordinates Hands & Feet, a day of service to other non-profit organizations with several hundred volunteers. The Bridge also helps connect and strengthen the community through special events such as concerts, seminars, food distributions, the Drive Thru Connection, online Prayer Works, and much more.

The Bridge consists of four FM radio stations reaching a population of over 1.5 million people in four states, plus a growing audience via its app and web stream. The stations include 88.7 FM, WKNZ-Harrington, Dover, DE; 92.5 FM, WNKZ-Pocomoke City, Salisbury, MD; 89.3 FM, Bridgeton, Vineland, NJ; and 105.5 FM, Cape May Courthouse, Ocean City, NJ.  The stations exist as “a voice in the community, connecting people to Jesus and each other, and strengthening their lives.”
